Biography

Before joining Whalen Law Office, Grace practiced family law. Through her experience as a Family Law Attorney, she led clients through the legal process and advocated for their needs in court. She is well versed in the creativity that is often required in legal strategy and recognizes the multifaceted issues that may stem from one legal issue. Her diverse background in her legal career and outside community involvement covers a variety of disciplines and those disciplines have better prepared her to utilize a holistic approach within the court system and beyond.

Grace attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas for her undergraduate education where she received a Bachelor of Social Work. In her undergraduate career, Grace interned at the Juvenile Probation office and Child Advocacy Center, which inspired her to pursue a legal career. Additionally, Grace was the director of a non-profit organization, Camp Kesem at University of Arkansas. Camp Kesem provide support for children whose parents have been affected by cancer through year round programing and summer camps.

Grace attended law school at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. While at OU, Grace clerked with Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Palomar: Family Justice Center, and Federal Public Defenders for the Northern District of Texas. Grace was on the Board of Advocates during her time in law school, where she was the director of the Whitten-Burrage Negotiation Competition. Grace was a member and editor of the Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal. She competed in the Federal Bar Association Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition. Grace participated in the multi-disciplinary Child Abuse Clinic. Through her time in law school, she developed a passion for helping others navigate the court system and the intricacies that come along with criminal law.
